8 Scriptures to Share God’s Love for You

You are loved.

I truly believe all of us here know that God loves us. But I think it’s difficult to believe that we are loved by God.

Does that make sense? It’s so easy to say “God loves everyone”, but it’s not easy to say “I know I am loved by God”. There is a huge difference in those two statements.

I’d like to share some scripture with you that reinforces the truth that we are loved by God. Feel free to share other scriptures, in the comments below, regarding God’s love for us.

Psalm 86:15 ~ But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.

1 John 3:1 ~ See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!

Ephesians 2:4-5 ~ But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)

Romans 8:35-37 ~ Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.” No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

Psalm 118:6 ~ The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?

Jeremiah 31:3 ~ Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.

Psalm 103:8 ~ The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.

Isaiah 41:13 ~ For I hold you by your right hand—I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.
